With a father in real estate, I have always been around construction and contracts. Many days have been spent out viewing land for the purposes of investing or homesteads. From the time I could walk I was on my grandfather's and father's job sites learning about the homebuilding process. I attended high school in Fairburn, GA at Landmark Christian School. All throughout my youth I worked at various jobs relating to construction. I performed punch-out on job sites, clean up of construction materials, and performed warranty on the homes my father built. In 1995 I graduated from Landmark Christian School and elected to attend the State University of West Georgia. In 1999 I graduated from the State University of West Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science. Upon graduation, I elected to join my Father at his Homebuilding Firm. In 2001 I elected to get my Real Estate Salesperson's license as a result of desiring a higher knowledge of the industry and the forms used. In 2004 I elected to obtain my Real Estate Broker's License. From 1999 through 2008 I spent my days really taking the homebuilding business to a more professional level. I would oversee all the development aspects of raw land from the original contact with the owner of the tract, to negotiating the contract, and taking the tract of land through development and approval. For many years I would attend all home closings and would handle the preparation and review of the information associated with the closing (closing statements, legal documents, etc.). Throughout the years and hundreds of homeowners and transactions, Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc. never had to enter a courtroom to defend it's actions of construction or development. Simply put, we always made it a point to go beyond what was accepted as the industry standard. We have elected to take the vast knowledge we have about real estate and use it to help buyers and sellers truly receive the quality of service they deserve. Jeff
Betsill, 1999 president of Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc., began his career in
home building in the late 1960’s at the young age of ten. Jeff's father,
Alex, was a custom homebuilder in Fayette County, who began his career
in the early 1960’s, Georgia; Jeff
was always on the job site
with his father, learning quality from a young age. Beginning at age
eighteen, Jeff owned and operated his own framing crew. During the time
Jeff worked with his father, Jeff would help his father Alex, frame and
trim each home built
by them. In 1984, Jeff and his framing crew began framing homes for
Jerry Ballard Homes, a large production builder in the Metro Area. While
working for Jerry Ballard Homes, Jeff's hard work and dedication to
quality was noticed by Jerry Ballard as a considerable asset to his
company. Jerry approached Jeff about becoming a superintendent for his
subdivisions. Jeff agreed, and from that time until 1994, Jeff was
superintendent over sixty plus homes a year, overseeing the construction
of single family homes, medical complexes, and office buildings.
In October of 1994, Jeff made his decision to start his own
company, Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc. From October of 1994 to October 1995
Jeff closed twenty-five homes working by himself. From October 1995 to
present Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc. grew to an average of sixty homes each
year. Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc. built many homes and commercial buildings
in the South Metro Area of Atlanta. Each building given the same
dedication to quality as the homes Jeff and his father Alex gave to the
homes they framed in the late sixties and early seventies.
